I´m still here!!! Haha I´m continuing here in Sol del Pinar with Hermana Inca for another transfer! We are super excited and we´ve got some big plans.. and when I say big I mean marriages and baptisms.. we are praying and working really hard for those!
So I forgot my missionary agenda and I always write while I am looking at it to remember every lesson that we had, so to be honest I really don´t know all of them, but I will do my best to remember the great things that happened this week. After lots of trials we really saw the blessings coming.. and coming fast!

On Wednesday we had a lesson with Karina, the sister who came to church last Sunday and she told us that she had a dream. She prayed about Joseph Smith and when she fell asleep she dreamed of a pathway.. everything in front of her was clear and bright and beautiful. She turned around to look behind her and everything was dark and cloudy. She told us that she things this is the right path for her to follow because everything is clear. On Saturday we went to visit her again and we invited her to be baptized.. she said YES! When we told her the date she said, so that day I´m getting baptized? Welcome in baptism then! Wow we were so surprised, but so happy! She needs to get married but we will get working on that this week.. On Sunday she came to church again and we talked about Eternal Marriage (coincedence? I think not!) She loved the lesson and told me that she wants Joyca (her daughter, 6 years) and Jhonny, the baby to grow up to be missonaries just like us! Super cute!

Wednesday and Saturday we had lessons with a man named Juan. He´s about 65 years old and pretty much teaches himself in the lessons. It is actually amazing.. he retains everything and understands it.. now he just lacks going to church.. but he was super interested in the Book of Mormon which was cool.

Before I forget Thursday we had a training with President and then the assistents came and did a work visit with us.. At first I was nervous, but then we had three really great lessons and all turned out great. Ceclia is becoming more and more interested in everything we are teaching and has so many questions.. She said that ever since we started teaching her that she has had more peace in her life and she feels less scared all the time. She couldn´t go to church on Sunday because her little boy fell down the stairs but she will come this Sunday.

I´m getting cut off, love you all so much!! Take care!!

Happy Monday! Feels good to say that again! And happy 11 months to me... is it even possible that I have been here for that long? I feel like just yesterday I was at the halfway mark and now two months more have passed by. First off, it was absolutely WONDERFUL to talk with all the family on Mother`s day. I think one of the highlights was when Gramps said ¨Te necesito¨ haha.. I have the greatest family!
This week has been one of our best here in Sol del Pinar.. we finally got up to 31 lessons! It isn`t exactly as much as my old area, but I am feeling pretty good about it! It`s definitely progress! Also... great news.. We had investigators at church for the first time in this area!!! I was bursting from happiness!

Monday.. we had P day as a mission! We headed to play soccer.. we played on teams by country (of course girls separate..) and the sisters from the U.S. won! Woohoo! Country pride! It was super fun to be with a lot of the missionaries I have met here and be able to catch up a little. We later had a lesson with Teolinda and Estanislao.. but we are thinking we might have to drop them as investigators for a while because they aren`t progressing at all.. it`s pretty sad, but maybe one day.

Tuesday we had a pretty slow day with only three lessons and we were a little frustrated by the end. Berta doesn`t want to commit to anything.. We talk to her about the commandments and she understands them but it`s like they don`t apply to her and only to others.. we aren`t sure whether we will keep teaching her or not. We feel like lately many of the people we find only want to listen a little bit but just don`t progress like we would like them too.. We decided to fast and pray the next day because we were feeling pretty down.. and then the miracles came!

Wednesday we had 6 lessons! AND we found three new investigators that we are teaching now.. blessings come and they come quick.. wow I have such a great testimony now of the power of fasting and prayer! We found Yolanda and Javier who are an older couple (the sister of Edgar). Javier isn`t super interested, but his wife is really sweet.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday (sorry this always happens and I run out of time..) Thursday was slow, but we did have a short lesson with Edgar.. he`s been avaiding us for a while, but we`ll see what happens this week. Friday we had a good lesson with Cecilia and she told us that this next week she will come to church, yay! We also finally found a less active family that we have been searching for for quite a while.

Oops, just got kicked off the computer! Love you all.. more updates to come the next week! Take care!

Happy Saturday? Well that`s a change.. here I am in internet because we are going to get the whole mission together on Monday.

Sorry I don`t have much time to write, but I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mother`s Day. Especially all of those mothers that have been a part of my life. Thank you for being amazing examples and helping me to get where I am today. I also have been able to meet some amazing moms here in Peru who have also given me wonderful examples and I know I will keep meeting more and more!

I wish I had time to explain to you all of my week but alas they didn`t give me all the time in the world to be here, but a lot I will be able to explain tomorrow when we Skype! Yay!

The only thing quickly I will tell you is that we visited Edgar this week which was awesome he said he had prayed and that things were just seeming to go better for him. At the end of the lesson he told us that he wanted to read the whole Book of Mormon when he went to visit his sister because it was 8 hours there and back.. wow! I will be so impressed if he really does it. We also invited him to be baptized.....................and he said YES! He said I really want to get to the point to be baptized and I will do what I can to get there! I really feel so blessed to have met him, I still pray every day that he will continue with these desires he has. This week I know we are going to find new people to teach and I really hope they will progress quickly.

Thanks for all of your prayers, I can really feel the love from many of you! Until the next Monday (which will be transfer day... is it possible that it is coming so fast? Although I am quite positive I will stay here)! Take care everyone!!

Family and friends!

So I did change the subject line now because we really aren`t seeing sun at all. This week has gone a little bit better than the last.. (I think I always say that? But I guess it`s because I really love being here and every week just seems like such a blessing).

Monday.. Pday was probably one of the worst.. and I only say that because I spent the whole day without my companion. She went to immigrations and I was stuck in a trio with some other sisters.. We ate in a restaurant that was kind of weird and I ended up feeling pretty sick after.. haha that`s what I get from eating in the street here! I spent a little time with a young woman from another ward until we went to pick up Hermana Inca and then had a lesson with our pensionista.

Tuesday was a really good day for us because we had 5 lessons.. for us here in this area it is really good.. but don`t worry I have big plans for getting us up to 8 or 9 in one day like in my other area.. because I know how wonderful it feels to teach all day every day! We were able to teach Aida and then Josefa.. two recent converts and Josefa finally told us why she wasn`t able to come to church, it`s really for her son that causes a lot of problems in the house when he drinks.. so we are going to try to find a solution for her. We also spoke with the Santos family and they are preparing to go to the temple to be sealed.. they just have to finish the temple prep classes. Lastly we had a great lesson with a less active member, Diana, we were able to help her with a lot of the problems she was having and she committed to come to church on Sunday.

Wednesday was a crazy crazy day because... WE MOVED! I think I am like the queen of moving here in Peru because I have now done it 3 times.. more than like anyone else in the whole mission I think haha. But we really like our new apartment, it is a little smaller which is actually a good thing, and it has the bathroom inside instead of on the roof yay! We finally got everything all unpacked and cleaned and then headed out to do our proselyting. The lessons we had weren`t all that special, but I think the less active members and the converts were able to be strengthened by our words in some form.

Thursday we had a pretty slow day, but we found a new investigator to teach, Alejandra! She is the niece of a less active member and is super cute. She`s 19 and really receptive and we will be going to visit her again on Tuesday this week. We also finally found out why Berta doesn`t want to get baptized.. She told us that she doesn`t want to commit and then later make a mistake.. We explained a little bit about repentance and how it is an ongoing process, but she still doesn`t feel like she is prepared.. We`ll keep going on that one.

Friday.. Highlight of my day.. Hamburger.. Haha ok maybe that`s not true but it had been almost 2 months since I had eaten anything super American and it was just so yummy! Here they put french fries on the burgers which is something I hadn`t thought about but is super good! Ok I`m going to stop talking about food cuz I`m getting hungry here sitting at the computer. On Friday we had a really great lesson with Jesser. He told us that he was going to now pray every day and read the Book of Mormon every day as well as come to church on Sunday (don`t get your hopes up.. we went to pick him up and he was sleeping and wouldn`t leave.. bummer).

Saturday was a good day as well.. We had a lesson with the Dominguez family.. We are teaching the mom, dad, and their two sons, as well as their niece.. We are praying and praying for the 5 of them.. Then after we found our GOLDEN INVESTIGATOR, Edgar is an older man who is absolutely prepared, from what we are seeing right now. He went to church when he was living in Brazil with his family and then moved here for work alone. At the end of the lesson he told us that he really wanted to pray, that he was going to talk to his boss so that he didn`t have to work Sundays so he can come to church and then asked us what homework we had for him. It was really a miracle that we had to get to know him.

Sunday President and Hermana Erickson came to our ward to visit which was super great. It was testimony meeting and they both got up to speak. In the middle of the testimony the microphone started being weird and we couldn`t hear much of what Hermana Erickson said, so they turned the microphone off and President Erickson just kind of yelled.. it was pretty great, they are so wonderful and I am so grateful to have them as my mission presidents.

Hope this week goes great for everyone and that you all have a great Mother`s day. Thanks Mom for being so wonderful and helping me through everything as well as my sweet grandmothers and all the other wonderful women and mothers I have come to know! Take care!
