Hola!!!

Well this week has been a very interesting one and finally I have time to write about what is going on here in this little part of Peru! First I wanted to describe a little bit of my area. It´s flat.. there are no hills! I finally reached the other side of the street! Haha.. but looks like I shouldn´t have been too excited.. this side of the street is a little richer. In a sense it´s kinda fun to see the houses a little more decorated.. (my artsy side coming out, but..) on the other hand.. the people are a little bit harder to teach.. They are a little colder than those that live on the hill side.. Also we have an area that I am pretty sure is empty.. Ok not really, but barely anyone is in the street during the day! It really surprised me! Like you have seen our ward is tiny.. we meet in a house.. but all is good because we are going to reactivate the less actives so that our ward will be a lot more full on Sundays! Now for my week..

Monday was P day.. we didn´t do all that much.. played volleyball as a zone and then my companion and I went to buy a few things we needed. Later we went to visit a 16 year old girl and found her older sister who was super interested, we didn´t have a lesson but we talked about the Book of Mormon and she said she really wanted one to read because we caught her attention with the history of it. Then we went to visit Alicia and her two kids Fernando and Gaby. She is really sweet but she still doesn´t want to come to church.. we talked about the Plan of Salvation and I heard one of my favorite responses ¨I had no idea that we lived with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ before coming here to the earth.. and that it was necesary for Adam and Eve to eat the fruit..etc.. Thank you SO much for teaching me this.. wow!¨ Seriously so cool to see reactions like that! Then we had a small family home evening with a single mom in our ward and her two little kids.

Tuesday we had our district meeting and I got to play the piano (it´s one of the highlights of my week). Later we had a lesson with Josefa, a less active-recent-convert... we are working on teaching her daughter Brisvany as well and she is receptive, but not home very much.. bummer! Later we had a lesson with a cute lady in our ward who also has a piano in her house (lucky me.. except it´s really out of tune) and we helped her with a little problem.. but great news: We helped to reactivate her and her husband just came back from the U.S. and now they are preparing to be sealed in the temple!! Wow I have never been more excited! I really hope that I will be able to go to see it because they are really a great older couple! Later we had a lesson with the mom and sister of a recent convert, Edson. They are receptive as well, but I think his sister faults a little bit of a push from him.. they are twins so should be a little easier we hope!

Wednesday was a pretty slow day because we had to do our weekly planning a day early but we were able to go out and teach with Lizbeth (my convert from my first area) which was super wonderful!! I also got a call and my sister training leader said we were going to do a work visit on Thursday.. surprise!

Thursday we at something super yummy that is called Pachamanka.. and then after lunch I headed off to do a work visit in an area called Tungasuka and I was able to get to know some great people there.. who knows maybe I´ll get sent there next.

Friday we visited Teolinda and Estanislao, they are a cute older couple we are teaching from Ankash.. I think I told you all that they speak a language called Chetuah.. (bad spelling). We also had a lesson that was super spritual with the husband of a less active member and then when we invited him to pray about Joseph Smith he just flat out said No.. the Spirit left the room so fast.. I really hadn´t felt so bad after a lesson.. Saturday and Sunday we found some new investigators and we are going to work with them this week!

Hope everything goes great this week for everyone! Love you all!
