How goes it everyone? I don´t have a
whole ton of time today because the internet wasn´t working very well,
but I hope to get down everything that I need.
This week was interesting to say the least (have I started a letter
that way before.. deja vu) We´ve been struggling to find new people to
teach. We haven´t had much success with the people we have contacted on
the streets or in their homes this last week, but we´re definitely
trying. We did teach one sister who seems pretty receptive and we have
another appointment with her this week.
We´ve been teaching a mother and daughter in a
family. Marta is the mom and her two sons are members, her husband is
Catholic (like almost all of the people here). She has a really strong
testimony and really wants to be baptized, but even after many lessons
about the sabbath day, the sacrament, and faith she still doesn´t have a
desire to change her work schedule so she can´t attend church. Her
daughter is 9, Alexandra, and she is a big ball of energy. Haha I am not
sure she has a testimony, but we will see how things go with her.
Things are progressing with Perla. In case I didn´t
say anything before, she is 27 and has friends that are members. She has
been reading the BOM a lot and her prayers are always so sincere, like
she really is talking with our Father in Heaven. I´ve learned a lot from
her. And this last week we finally set a date for her baptism. She is
really excited.
We also set a date with Walter for his baptism. YAY!! He finally is starting to understand the importance of baptism!
Goodness, sorry everyone but I´m out of time! Love you all!!
